More than likely, Daiwa seem to update their reels every three years or so. I wouldn't expect too many changes though, probably just the addition of ATD, magseal bearings supporting the main gear and minor cosmetic changes.

Looks F'n mint. If you think the new stradic looks nicer than this you need to get off the pingers.

Thats just embarrassing mate. I wouldn't be advertising such a horrific lack of taste so publicly.

Its cheap, its gaudy and it will date faster than two day old milk.

Excited.

I'm excited. Been waiting for this since early in the year. Agree with most that the 2012 Luvi still looks better. That said, we have only seen 1 photo and it looks like a smartphone photo which may not do justice to the reel.

Also, looks like Daiwa might have changed the screw type to hex (or torx?). 2012 Luvi had flat as well as philips.

Have to agree. I like the old one. Maybe the spool looks better in the flesh.

But now your labias got a piercing and a cheap tattoo.

For the record. The only bit of daiwa gear i truly regret leaving behind was this...

http://www.breammaster.com/forum/sho...t=34972&page=2

Besides that, the FE's are a huge upgrade in terms of the enjoyment i get fishing. But enough about that. This thread is obviously about another classic, understated and timeless design from daiwa and the discerning highbrow taste of some fellow BM members.

Sorry I'll refrain from posting from now on.

But while I'm here....the reel is ok. Doesn't really do much for me but it's far from terrible.

Haha, it's OK. I don't mind. I'd do the same to him.

Maybe RCS spool could make it look a tad better.
