I dont like the spool, way too open for me. Gues I will have to wait another 5 years for a new one to come out

I would pay shimano and daiwa a milliion bucks to hold hands and make a reel. I would then hi five them. Or even if daiwa copied x-ship somehow. I would hi five them for that also.

What I don't understand is Daiwa wanting to charge 70,000+ yen for a Zaion body. I thought Zaion was meant to be marketed as a cheaper alternative (amongst other advantages) to magnesium

Daiwa are the kings of marketing and BS. It's called an exist, therefore you will pay more than necessary for it.

Dont you guys think it looks like there is way too much going on with that reel? The current Exist is nice and basic and elegant. Now they have put the spaceship rotor on it, made it out of Zion, put a ugly slot in the handle and made the spool into a wood chipper WTF I am pretty dissapointed, reminds me very much of a phluger patriarch you can get for a coupple of hundred bucks but spaceshiped up.
