New Caldia

http://daiwafishing.com.au/?p=8721

With the Ballistic spin being released in the US, Daiwa have decided to release a new Caldia. The new Caldia obviously has the same body as the Ballistic spin, but it has less bearings than the ballistic. The ballistic also has high gear ratios while the caldia has low gear ratios, other than that, I reckon they will be the same. Enjoy.

Cheers,

Daiwafreak

Nothing to do with sales.

It was time to bring out there new technology (mag seal etc). We first saw it on the Saltiga and Certate. Then the new freams was shown. So the next in line naturally is the caldia/sol.

Noticed how they are replacing old models with new technology in the same order?

I.e first the certates, then saltiga, now lower/mid range reels...

Can't wait to see a mag sealed steez.

Don't get to excited guys, oil seal is just an oil soaked felt washer, I pulled apart a new freams and posted photos of it in another thread if you can find it. Would be great if we see the new caldia released here before we can buy if second hand overseas.

Any word from anyone on pricing against older models?

Will be in the market for a pair of 25xx's this spring and may 'downgrade' to newer technology...

Wow now that's a sexy reel.
Looks like a cross between a luvias and a certate.
