certate & sol

Hi all,I was in the Florida last week and the manager of one of the tackle shops i was in told me that Diawa were discontinueing making the Certate & SOL reels in 2010 has any body heard this?

It's possible.. It seems they are already discontinuing the sol rods? They've gone on the cheap everywhere...

Maybe this will take its place?

You'll obtain the performance of Certate at $100 low by omitting a few ball bearings and the titanium coat on spool lip. Knob inside is made of plastic, instead of cork for Certate.

Turns out the Sol rods are being replaced by the Sol TypeII. Unsure about the reels.

Very strange the SOL is going out

personally i think the direction there going is a little strange

basically they put sol components in a certate dress and call it a certate minus some bearings

Yeah they call it the bradia
also i am not really suprised that the certate might be being retired it is 10 years old now.
