I bet the guy taking the video has a completely rational explanation for his actions - and judging by the footage, he had a fair idea of what he was flippering into by burleying those waters.

Any sign of weakness would have been taken as an invitation - and by acting like a predator trying to attack the prey, he kept his place in the hierarchy as an apex predator
