power steering

hi all

i was wandering if any one has fitted hydrualic (power) steering to there boat.
i have a 445 hornet with 60 etec and was thinking about it.
is it expensive, any info would be good .

I am fitting one up now.

They go from $600 to $1000.

Make sure you can fit it in. The pump at the helm is a lump - and the engine end has to fit into the well. So you need a dealer with stock - and willing to help with measureing it up. I got mine from BIAS

I woudl avoid the side mount models. to easy to step on and break. Go for bullhorn type fitting .

Hydrive - made in Australia seems to have a good reputation.

Others may too.
