I've tried every method of tying fg's known to man.
There is only one true way to tie it - Its the BFL method Skip to 1.04 for the knot tying. "I've got 99 problems and a hitch aint 1" Last edited by yellow door 1; 22-12-2014 at 04:01 AM. |

I think with 2 lb most would go straight through to save having a knot at all.

That is the worst example of how to tie an FG that I've ever seen.

If you are talking about BFL version, will only ask if you have actually tried it? Before shooting off a half cocked opinion.

This method was painstakingly put together through many hours of listening watching and cherry picking ideas from not only breammasters finest knotters. But also the global effort to master the FG. I've eaten Humble pie on several occasions in relation to the way I tie this knot. I've tried everything that was suggested to me and the way I tie it now bares very little resemblance to the way I started tying it. So on the 1% chance that he is talking about my video - all I ask is that he provide a link to the way he ties it. Nothing would give me more pleasure than to be proven wrong for the 5th time about this knot. I've got no ego when it comes to getting this knot right. So let me have it He can also critique my latest "Night Time Winter Blade Retrieve Video". I'm not as confident with that one |

1 - Jason admitts that taking the pressure from his fingers is a relief when he is finished the knot - I dont have the problem - I often tie 3 in a row - I could tie 10 in a row with very little finger fatigue. 2 - It can only be tied from a seated position - Melbourne in winter, is no place to be sitting down - at best you get a wet arse - at worse piles 3 - he has managed to incorporate every appendage he has into tying the knot Quote:
It looks like were were coming at it from different angles. Wait till you see the angle I've come up with - Its a pearler I'm also pretty experienced - But I'm not set in my ways |

He's clearly only seated for the purposes of the video.

Classic.
The more experienced you get, you actually realise that there's more to learn.
