Id steer away from anything too thin to prevent it biting into itself if your that keen on 10lb.

Power pro super slick 8 would work i reckon. Its not the thinnest around but you don't want that. Its very robust in 10lb. It actually breaks at 20 plus but it should handle abrasion a bit as a result. Can be had for 30 bucks on us ebay.

I haven't been much a fan of power pro but I haven't given the slick 8 a go yet. I want something that won't bury, that is still relatively thin. I've never had any issues with my 8lb super PE though and at $33 it's mighty tempting.

Power pro is good stuff. Feels horrible straight out of box but after couple sessions it softens right up. I used to use pe exclusively. All the top braids out there, and the number of fish I lost to random breaks and lures that sailed off into the distance after a Cast gone wrong resulting in a birds nest was astounding.

With power pro I have never had a random snap off a backlash and far fewer bust-offs from abrasions. Plus it's much easier to pick out then pe when you do birds nest.

If you were thinking 10lb sunline pe you could get away with 5lb powep pro but to be honest I would get 10lb. The difference I have noticed between power pro and most pe's in casting distance is marginal at best.

Duel Armoured. I like it. 1st line where I can full strength cast without backlashing. It's a hard coated line, which best for baitcasters. I'm using #1.5.

Aren't most BFS setups using mono? Like 8lb fluoro or something? Braids this light can sometimes mess up your day. Mono is much easier to pick out when backlashed.

My opinion is to use a very high end mono line. Doesn't hurt the bank as much if you get a nasty overrun.

I do have a spare spool of yamatoyo famell in 6lb and MB black jungle in 8lb but I'm holding on to them for when someone makes a BFS spool for the tatula.

Hedgehog studio has just about every other part for the tatula except a spool. I did hear however that the new zillion will share a frame/spool with the tatula so there may be something I store soon. When I asked daiwa today if there were any RCS spools that'd they said not at present.

Highly unlikely. They made the spool shaft long. Or, not a 'free floating spool' None of the RCS spools will fit the tatula. And I think no 3rd parties make spools for daiwa BC reels.

I havent tried a super light fluro but I put 12lb sniper on my alphas finnesse custom and mother of god, it was DohDohDohDoh. I couldnt cast anything on it. Waaay to stiff for light lures, deep birdys every cast. I put some super suple stren 10lb mono on and its great but I still think braid is the easiest to cast and if u get a birds nest they are never as deep and far easier to remove than mono. Ive never understood how braid got a bad rep for birds nesting on casting gear.
