Sounds like there may be some interest. Yes the idea of giving the lure a name would be an awesome idea.

It looks like "James Pond" seems to be the favourite so far. But may be it could be called "Paris Hilton" given that it will be getting itself around, and in out of some tight snags

Please let me know your thoughts

I like Marks idea of sending it off interstate, would be good to get her on the road and out of her comfort zone.

The lure will certainly be a small bibbed lure.

Yeah longevity is the key. This is not to see who can get the biggest fish on the lure.

Just to catch one on it then pass it on. Size should not be a factor. Lets hope there is also a few good rescue stories

Some rules might have to be implemented to ensure the best/longest possible journey for the lure.

Like: Once a fish is caught by the 'lure bearer' it should not be cast again in an attempt to catch more or bigger. One fish per bearer and put aside safely to be sent to the next.???

Sounds good...

Great concept Nick...maybe also a time limit..this may restrict the desire to chase down a mega-behemoth beast and keep interest high. As well as photos, maybe also those of us able to can upload vids to youtube....rescue stories can be enhanced with a bit of 25 fps!!! And I can assure you that its going to end up somewhere it shouldn't when I get it.....

How many points for a Yarra River Coxless 4?

Man this is going to be the most spoilt lure in Australia.

Jetsetting, fishing exotic loactions, new hooks fitted every trip......nail polish, facelifts...............The lure is like a rock star all ready.

photos

I am expecting some great macro work from the photographers out there to follow in the footsteps of the following link...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_...Liberationists

Suggest a larger crankbait be used to aid in photographing it on its travels...

I will be in on this, sounds like a great idea. I will put my name down for the first in SA to get a fish on it if someone hasnt already. As for the name Paris Hilton, I dont mind it goes well, always gets wet in different places, doesnt mind getting eaten and if you guys are talking about filming retrievals of her Im sure she wouldnt mind!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. The treble replacement is a great idea, but shouldnt be compulsory. They should be replaced on "fair wear and tear basis". If you have it last and they look a bit worse for wear..... please repair.

The Makeover probably should be kept to your own weekends..not that theres anything wrong with that...... whatever floats the boat

TB's idea of the touring shots (AKA Gnoming) sound very interesting, if you have the lure and wish to use it as a mascot for an up and coming event, or travel feel free.....

If you have listed for any up and coming Tournaments, put your hand for Paris, and be sure to plug her when your up on the weigh in

Even though Paris is renown for her video, please refrain from any explicite shots of Paris Hilton

The Quicker you get your fish and pass her on the better. May even plot a chart on "Google Maps" once the lure commences its journey.

Cheers Nick

Yeah, I dunno about Paris Hilton, this website's got a bit more taste than that. Jennifer Hawkins though..."Ahhh-OOOOOO-Gah"...wouldn't mind giving her a bit of a tweak.
