Bass fishing

Had the best weather possible yesterday. Headed off to a local dam where I often struggle to catch anything. Decided to set the GoPro up for the first time in around a year. Managed some good footage and put ogether a little vid. So many taps that my awesome rod feels but don’t get picked up. Here’s a link. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ch-K0WBwljc

Nice one - I'd be keeping note of the conditions on that day - looks like the dam really turned it on in those glassed out conditions

Gotta love days like that when the conditions are perfect AND the fish bite.

Yep, down to a bit of luck finding the fish as well.

For sure. They don't get much better than that. Makes up for my shocking trips so far this year!

Yeah I know very little about bass - do you go looking for them on the sounder then cast or just prospect around with lures

I'm also a novice and just getting started so no real expert advice. Mainly paddling around trying to find them on the sounder. I have learnt not to strike. Keep on slow rolling whilst you feel the bass mouth/nudge the lure and hope one strikes.

When surface fishing just randomly throwing lures around the edges. Bit like targeting bream with pauses.
