Just did a quick calculation and with a 19 pitch prop at 5500rpm and allowing 10% slip you should be running 71.6kph and at 6000rpm you should be seeing 78kph. The slip you are getting seems excessive and maybe indicates a different sort of prop would be worth trying.

I did just recently change from an SST to a Viper prop and the Viper is supposedly better for top end speed....
Does your calculation take into account hull drag? |

No it's a basic calculation but hull drag will represent itself in prop slip. The higher the hull drag the more percentage of slip you will get. I still would have thought the slip you seem to be suffering is high.

Something I noticed on the Evinrude website is that the 25" shaft 90 hp has a 2.25 ratio and the 20" shaft has a 2.0. If you have the 25" shaft it would explain the difference but I would have thought yours would be the 20".

This is the write up from evinrude RE my prop
VIPER Polished Stainless Steel Props: Fast! Speed! 3 blade performance, high lustre finish - Made for speed! Its longer swept blades and a larger diameter give this prop a better grip on the water, faster acceleration and greater top end speed. It's fast out of the hole and delivers maximum top end speed. Excellent on any recreational boat, from runabouts and cruisers to deck boats. |

I do think when I go for a new boat the frenzy will be the replacement for the ETT Pro

Looks great and very jealous......the boat I am after......could I ask if a rod locker was an option and if so did you think about getting one?
Also was a raised front deck an option like this one .....think it looks even better |

both an option, I didn't like the raised front deck for offshore application... but in estuarys it would allow more storage space...
rod locker wasn't too high in my priority list either, it does have some positives... but also has disadvantages also like the fact that seating is pushed further toward the driver, also can be hard to open locker with the seat in the way... also I found it hard to lean against the gunwhale on the port side with the locker there as it was right in your shins.. standing on it, meant that the gunwhale was too low... also having a rod locker in my past nitro I found it a nightmare pulling tabgled rods out all the time... I opted for a ful side pocket which is on its way... (wasn't suplied at first thanks to a communication error) Makocraft can just about do anything you want... just need to ask, they are very keen to make your perfect boat...
