Thanks for your time and effort GH. Agreed. When I tried with the weights out I thought the rod tip was going to drop and punch a hole through the garage floor . Certainly best balance for me was with all 3 washers in. Regards, HBt.

90% of my rods have the weight system in them. Although it seems good to have a method of compensation to even out balance, I would prefer a rod that is made for a specific reel and has no added weight. It all just makes the rod feel heavy sometimes

Depends on what specific rod, some rods just feel overly light and just don’t feel good in the hand.


And because no one said it, you could just eat a dozen crispy creams per day.
