O Trout, Where Art Thou

Fished Harvey with a friend Saturday morning, afternoon and Sunday morning. Over 20 hours fishing (between the two of us) for a grand result of just one rainbow trout at a touch under a kilo...

Disappointing to say the least. Didn't see anyone there catch one as well.

Anyone else have better luck this weekend?

I came close to catching my first Trout for the 08/09 season.

I was winding my lure in and once my lure got to the edge of my feet a smallish Trout decided to have a crack. Oh well, always next time!

Nice Trout lewa!

What lure/s did you manage to catch them on?

Also, do you happen to have any more Trouty photos?

I got most of my fish on the little strike pro in the trout pattern but also got a few on plastics, eye ball tails, sliders and wrigglers. my old man and brother got most of there fish on celta's.
I didnt get heaps of photo's on the weekend cause i was to busy fishing but i do have a few photo's laying around.
found a few reddies in some deep water at the first place we stopped at.

We stalked out a few spots on google earth and then ended up back were we normaly go every year, found some god bassen spots but needed the kayaks to fish it.

i fished Harvey dam on monday 13 rainbows, tuesday 3 rainbows, friday 2 rainbows saturday 6 rainbows and sunday 3 more rainbows there are plenty of fish there. i released all of them. you just need to know where and when

nick hocking (DohDohDoh) fished next to me saturday and landed two on fly just on dusk, i fished with spinner and hardbodies all week and did well, so its just a matter of being patient no matter what gear you use.

I thought we were very patient (and persistent) after putting in over 10 hours each.
