Magnetic Mat for Reel Maintenance?

I've seen one that will catch a screw instead of it bouncing off the table - not sure if the one in the vid below has the pulling power - but the potential is there to stops screws rolling around or being bumped out of order.

I know alot of blokes use an old tshirt or rag to rest their parts on - just wondering if anyone has used these magnetic mats

Magnets don't attract stainless steel, so not real useful for reel maintenance I'd say.
