Ideas for new boat

Hi everyone,

Recently I was given a 10ft tinnie with 6hp engine.

I would greatly appreciate if you could give me your thoughts on where to get those accessories, recommend some brands, best time and where to buy (promotion/sale/ which websites, I am living in Victoria) or any idea to make the boat more efficient.

I mainly rive on the rivers and may try to fish at the bay.

There's a list of things that I have jotted down that I would like to have.

1) Bow mount electric motor (nothing more than 1k)
2) Bilge pump (is it necessary?)
3) Bimini Shelter (what size, material)
4) Life Well
5) Seats and cup holders
6) Seck lights
7) Decking and storage for live well, live jacket, motor, fire extinguisher, safety kits, tackle boxes, anchor, batteries...anything else??? (plywood grade vs aluminium frame, carpet, glue...anything else), how much would this generally cost? Who do I approach to fix this in? A carpenter?
8) Do you guys have a checklist what you bring along in a fishing boat?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,
Victor

Gday Victortee - Do you have many hours boating experience? - and have you taken the boat out on the water yet?

Those are some pretty big questions you have mate. As a starter, just have a look on CH Smith's website for some info, products and prices. My immediate thought is that a 6hp motor is pretty small, I'd be careful how much additional weight you add. I have a hunch that that may be your first upgrade. Good luck with it all!
