I had a 203 blank built up for me By Hotrods, it's a little soffter than the 201 which I would have preferred but still a great alround rod, can catch plenty, they are still solid in the butt section to steer things around.
I would go for the 201 next time.
Dale.

I directly compared the 101 to a bayliner and I bought the Samurai.

Yes there are some fantastic JDM rods but IMO some people have the false belief that Japanese rods are the be all and end all.

Compare a whole bunch of rods in person, and don't take to heart what people write on the internet.

Amen to that. I know of rods around 150 mark that will leave a 700 dollar rod in its tracks in performance, having said that i personally believe that samurai and smiths are the best bream rods on the market. But each to their own.At the end of the day its how good the angler is not how good the rod or reel is.

like the shimano raider you choose to use over all your other 700 doller rods ? mactuna will test that out tho, 700 doller rods fail on mac tuna where as the raiders keep going strong... cheers billy

raider rods can catch some seriously awesome fish slayed, its all about personal preference, have seen 8kg snapper pulled up using 2-4kg raider rods on 2000 sized reels. They must be good for so many people to own them. You may own top shelf gear but that doesnt make you a good fisherman.Anyhow, each to their own hey.
