Hi guys

what are you hoping to catch with the setup?

not sure on your price range or intended target species, but the heartland series from daiwa are a high quality, reasonably priced solution, if you want something else, have a sticky beak at the raider series by shimano's ian miller
hope this helps

I mainly intend to target flathead, bream and silver trevally and I was thinking of probably puting on 6lb fireline on the reel and I was hoping to spend between 100-250$

Go have a look at the Strudwick SicStiks Pros as well, they are better than the Raiders IMO. I've got a 2-4kg bc model and it can cast 1/8oz lures no problems. With your reel, you could probably go down to 7 grams with the correct rod, any lower and it will be struggling.
