Some very intereting movements from Day 1 to Day 2 for some teams. Looks like some of the spots from Day 1 didn't produce on Day 2.

One thing I've learned fishing for bream-every day is different. Adds some excitement, isn't it?
Cheers

Congrats to Colac tackle for taking it out.

It was a great weekend fishing, we had a great pre fish on friday and were very hopeful of a great saturday, the second cast of the day and we had a 36cm fork in the well from then it was a day of what could have been, we caught plenty of fish just not big enough, Dan caught his first Jewie which was a highlight of the day.

Sunday was great we had our 5 in the well by 10:00 and upgraded 3 times to end up with 3.51kg, 4th best for the day. Again Dan got another jewie which was abit of fun. A few nice perch thrown in as well.

We went from 35th to 18th, a full bag on the sat would of had us well into the top ten but hey that's fishing, it was a great weekend and look forward to going back there again.

Thanks Guys. Just got home 10hrs drive . Was great weekend, This was our second visit to Glenelg only, great place cant wait till going back next year. It so different to our Lakes and River systems in Gippsland The extremly small estuary is similar. But the river system is so different with it Lime stone Cliffs and deep vertical drop offs. We have much to learn looking forward to the challenge.

We would of loved to have caught a few more Torny Legal Breambos but it was not to be. Our prefish we found Bream down the front in the Estuary, and after travling upstream for 1.5 hrs (3hrs return trip as it mostly all speed restricted) and not much luck we went with the Estuary. Saturday we where away no 5 and went to our spot we had caught few Bream prefish. To be followed by 15 or so other boats hahaha was expected. So we struggled Day 1 only managing 4 legals and to make matters worse dropping a kicker possibly biggest bream at the boat arhhhhhh 20 mins before cut off smashed broken Fatty Hook not happy.

Day 2 I predicted the Estuary would be shut down from the hammering it got Prefish and Day 1,And it was shut down super quiet. All team where struggling that fished Estuary Day 1. What to do its an 1hrs boat trip upstream 2hrs return at least. So went went up a little way but not far enough obvisouly, struggled no bumps or hits arhhhhhh. we better go back to the Esturay and try and scratch out a bag, we where staring at a possible donut at this stage Oh no. Back we go to Estuary after it seemed like a thousand casts for the day. Finally Smack yeahhh haaa and Breambo on at last Torny legal yes. To be droped at the boat just hooked and hook had pulled. Devasted to say the least that Donut looking closer. We continued to grind it out and managed only two Torny Legals for the day. Caught few 27 to 27.5 but we could not get those 28s even with a gentle massage of the Breambo LOL. Oh well Bring on Mallacoota.

Congrats to the guys that did well.
Esp the Guys that Fished down the front in the Estuary that struggled day two well done.

Regards Nordy

Trevor Hogan from Launching Way calls them fish with attitude. I think he is on the mark there.

Nice report mate,

Better luck next time, sounds like a tough venue, especially with the speed restrictions. You did well to avoid a donut day 2 by the sounds of it.

Thanks for the kind words guys, truly appreciated.
A big thanks to my fishing partner for keeping me motivated for the half of Sunday while we had only two fish in the well till the last hour

Well done to Colac Tackle on the great win in challenging conditions (especially for some)
Looking forward to Mallacoota next month. Hope to see you all there.
Cheers

We had a tough comp, pre fish was great and we caught enough legals up river above and below Donovans to make the trip up on Saturday. For some reason we just couldn't catch them Saturday, so we headed down to the estuary and got a few late in the day, but only managed 3 all day.

Sunday morning we headed back down to the estuary and got a few early bites but only one legal, there was no wind and the flats wern't firing for us. We decided to make a move around late morning and as soon as we did the wind got up so we turned around and went back.
Thankfully the wind brought some fish into the shallows and we nutted out 5 on chubby's and turtleback worms.

That was still only good enough for 28th

It was still a good weekend away
