Daiwa Theory

As the title suggest, I’ve been looking at the theory every now and then for quite some time and considering buying to match a new harrier 641lxs, however I’ve seen little to no info on them here in Aus

So has anyone had any experience with them and if so what are your thoughts?

Considering a 2506H/2508H running 8-10lb braid for primarily resides around canberra’s lakes, but also bass and bream in cover

I too had been looking.
Nice looking bit of kit, but only $40AUD between it n Luvias.
Besides the 10-15g weight penalty, courtesy of the extra bearing I guess, I cant split them.

Its a tough language to decipher with syntax. When they say bad i can understand that - the pretty pictures tell me a story of same same enough same year after year same.

It would come down to bearing count, body materials and aesthetics yo suit taste and its overall cost compared to AUDM versions - also availability of spare parts for eg: chrome body coverings etc to suit that reel and the likelihood of they being needed to be replaced as is a JDM reel.

To me so many Daiwa reels employ the same main and pinion gearset its hard to choose which reel for the sake of the body and colour scheme - bearing count is a no brainer but also a non reality that its goung to make the reel 'better' in any way.

And its not like warranties are going to matter - as long as the reel you get ends up not being a lemon out of the box? But that happens locally too - with all brands!

Tough choice IMHO.

Gday mate, It’s a top of mid range Daiwa and like all of them in that area it’ll be a great reel. It certainly looks the part, has the new light frame design and a great spool. I’d personally go for a luvias for a tiny bit more but I bet there is no difference in the way they perform.
Probably will struggle to get many opinions on it as it looks like it’ll never be sold in Australia.
