probably 15hp would be the max i would put on it
Its not really going to flip just the ass end will sit deaper in the water when its not underway. if the wields look decent you should be fine but probably will have some transom flex. If you wield some extra support you should be good If the boat doesnt have much decking i would go with a the 9.9 as it will push you along at a decent speed. cheers BK

i would listen to the stiker personally cause if you dont firstly the insurance wont cover it if you have an accident. also i have a 11ft quintrex and with a 20hp it is only 2inches Out of the water at the transom !ahh!! but thing is the 20hp doesnt weight var off the 15hp evinrude we have so id listen to 9.9/10hp

if you are insuring it you will either have to stick with a 9.9 or modify it so you can get it re plated.

re-enforce the transom and get twin 50s
But seriously IMO I wouldnt go over the max transom weight as a mate of mine did once and he had a really bad experience. |

yeh a 9.9 will push it well!
even if you could weld, still would bother going to all the hassel on a 10ft tinnie. |

Mate ignore the plate, i run a 15hp on my 2.45m quinne so youd be right with a least a 15hp. Just my two bobs worth.
Cheer

hahaha this reminds me of my mate with his 3.4m tinnie (no carpetting or stuff, just some oars, fuel and tackle) with, wait for it, a 30hp 2 stroke on it! He use to have a 25hp yammie but he said it didn't have enough grunt.
You should see it when it's in full flight.

GEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!
i had a 6hp on my 8 ft tinny (2.45m) and it was seriously quick but had no freeboard at all. as for a 15hp on a 2.45 i dont think so mate, my tinny chine walked with a 6hp with leccy battery and deck, ide hate to see it with a 15hp( thats wen its above water)
