Favourite surface lures for bream/trout

Getting started on doing some surface fishing in small estuaries. I am completely lost on where to start.

I'm a big fan of the duo poco poco lure for bream and whiting. Also done well on the Jackall chubby popper 42.

Bassday sugarpen for me.

Very easy to get the walk the dog action on them.

Bent minnows are hard to beat, particularly if you replace the centre treble with an assist hook. Another great little 'walk the dog' lure is the Smith Towadi.

Bent Minnow and Jackall Micro-Tappy are the two major standouts for me

hands down for me OSP Bent Minnow 76f

super wakasagai, green & clown colours my 3 favourite

Added bonus this lure can be fished surface walking or more interestingly sub surface which seems to be where it really fires for me

ive had good success over the years fishing this lure middle of winter to the flats in summer few mates are like middle of winter on bents no way then come out and change their views really fast.

can hurt the hip pocket though when compared to other surface lures mentioned but definitely worth having at least one in your tackle tray
