Just put all 100 hooks through the finger nail test - only 1 out of 100 didnt grab first time - it did grab when re-positioned.
In my book thats a very good result |

Yeah they claim to be black nickel plated so we'll see how they go in salt water.
I've bought the occasional cheap hook before and if they pass those 2 tests - they usually pass the rest. |

Gave them their first run last night - left them un-rinsed in a bag overnight to see what sort of rust would take hold - none as far as I can see. Lost a bit of coating the pliers but apart from that - they survived unscathed
