Mangrove Jack Live Feeding

hey guys, i know its not really 'fishing' related but i guess you could call it research? here is a quick vid i made featuring "Bazza" my pet Jack. had him a few years now and he is an awesome guest entertainer Enjoy the vid guys. thanks for all the cool replys guys! i bought him when he was about 4 or 5 centimetres. they're expensive little buggers. i guess its cause they are wild caught. he eats both live fish for a treat and his staple food is frozen whitebait and prawns. he attacked the syphon when i was cleaning the tank for the first time the other day. scared me a bit. its only a matter of time before my fingers look tasty to him next! lol

hey afro man. to answer your question he was in complete fresh water for the first 12-18mths or so. then started adding salt with water changes. he is currently in a light brackish tank. about 14 parts salt. (total brackish is between 16-20 parts) but i'll get there. his colour has changed since the salt water is introduced and his metabolism is much faster and he's always hungry (more so than before. these guys just eat and eat and eat lol).
as for your barra. you'd be surprised what they can fit in their mouths even@ 15cm!

also, as you may or may not have noticed but there is a big mangrove root to the left of screen. he runs back under here after EVERY fish he hits in this video. and very quickly too. its no wonder you need a locked drag when fishing for these little brutes!
