The real reason things take so long to get here from China

edit - turns out it wasnt Aussie customs fault - Sorry fellas

Its those bludgers at Aussie Customs

This package took 7 days to be shipped to Aus and has been sitting with Aussie customs for 12 days.

I'm out of the freight game these days however it looks like it might be pre cleared and still sitting on a boat in transit.
Freights always a bit of a gamble, my last express postage package from the US took a month whilst a surface mail order from Cabelas took two weeks. I'm aware sea freight US was cancelled years so very reluctant to use express unless the shipper insists.

Think it might depend on where it lands. Brisbane seem to be pretty quick. I was super impressed last week. Had a package sent from Japan that came via Hong Kong. Left Osaka on Monday morning and with me on Wednesday at 5.30pm. Cleared customs in 10 mins according to courier details.

Yeah according to Aus Post

Incoming international items

While Australian customs authorities will try to process all parcels as fast as possible, it may take up to 15 days to complete.

Its must be the free shipping that puts everything I order to the back of the queue

Just had a look at some other smelly soft plastics and line I had sent - The line didnt appear to go through customs and the other lures took 4 days to get cleared by customs.

So they can move faster on items with free shipping when conditions allow

Well this is awkward

Turns out that those lures were delivered last week. So its the Aliexpress tracking system that is rooted. All up it only took 15 days

The reason I was fooled was I've ordered a heap of plastics recently. The ones that arrived a week ago were in completely different packaging to the Photo used to advertise them. So when I was checking the Ad - I was like - nup - havent got any of them recently

So a big Sorry to Aussie Customs
