Swag options

One for all you camping gurus

What is your swag of choice? I'm looking for a new swag (currently have an oztrail Mitchell King and oztrail biker) looking for an mid range swag with a nice thick matress. Preferably a double.

Any suggestions?

I'm no camping expert..!!

I'm sure others will have a lot more experience in the area but I recently bought myself a single dome swag from MDC campers.. It's a Freestanding dome swag.. Mattress ain't the thickest however got myself a relatively cheap foam insert to put under the supplied mattress and now it's comfy as.. The swag retails for $249 so compared to other freestanding dome swags it's definitely at the lower end of the price spectrum but after a fair bit of research I couldn't justify the extra few hundred bucks to buy a freestanding dome swag from another company.. Anyway mate hope this helps you out.

Cheers

Mcgoo

Also...

They sell a double which I think retails around the $270 mark.. Off the top of my head I think it's around 1500mm wide.. With the single being about 900mm wide..

Boab Territory Dome swag, hands down. It's a very sturdy swag with a 70mm med density foam mattress that's very comfortable. Great ventilation, strong coated mesh, rip stop canvas, heavy duty zippers and can set up in less than a minute if you're quick. I picked mine up from bee see eff on sale for $350, rrp is $600 but shop around. I think R@ys have them as well.

Do a search on the bunker tents, a few had trouble with the XL version on this site.
I have the standard version and its fantastic cant believe how well i sleep in it and quite warm in winter.

I have one of these. It's massive but if transporting it is no issue it's well made and stupidly spacious.

Try a tent cot , I've had one a few years now and wish I had it much earlier ,.
Haven't used any of my swags since , love it .
Fold away nice and flat , rain never an issue , bug proof and up off the ground ...ticks all the boxes really.

This type mate , haven't used my swag since owning one , I use one of those fold up mattresses in it and sleep like a baby , been in huge storms and not an issue apart from some flapping in strong winds .
Couple of minutes to fold up in it's cover and throw in the back of the ute.
