haha!

I have the F3 5'11'' RC for the racks, mainly chucking 55-70mm minnows. I also have the F2 6'10'' RC. It's pretty much a heavier all rounder for Bream. Can use it for bigger hards, plastics and in the racks to. Also a very good rod for chasing the big Silver Trevs we get down here.

I was thinking about getting a f2 6'10" but it would be a little heavy for what I'm after.

The snags I fish are really heavy and the average bream are 35 fork, so I need to be able to get them out comfortably but at the same time I need to be able to flick reasonably light plastics with the rod as they tend to shy off bigger style plastics

This would be ideal if you want a slightly shorter rod for snags and racks. Pretty cheap now too

After way too many hours of research, I recently aquired this for smaller barra and sooty grunter in tighter areas and snaggy little flowing streams, but can't stop using it! It is specifically designed for flicking light and unweighted plastics at snags for big (on the evergreen site it says 51cm +) largemouth bass. For a rod i would feel comfortable using in the high country for little trout, it certainly has some very reliable power where it matters, which you could never tell from holding it in your hand and looking at its stated 2-6lb rating... and I have never had a rod that can cast so unbelievably accurately! If you go to my blog, you can see a picture of me loading it up on a 35cm tarpon that I dragged out of a snag under a bridge (i should do a report on all my recent JDM gear purchases of the past few months ). Not a Megabass, but perhaps what you are looking for and with absolute JDM bling from Evergreen's top of the line range.
The Kaleidos were easily the best - blank wise - of all the rods I held and played with on my recent travels in Japan and Singapore http://www.ebay.com/itm/Evergreen-Ro...item2579274904

Thinking of getting a M power versatile rod for the TD-ito 103 and the coming monoblock. Casting anything from 5g - 14g (~3/16-1/2oz). No micro guides. What rods would breammasters suggest? I guess something with F3 power?

I am open to older models as I think many of them look sexier than the newer ones.

Cheers.

I had the f1 xks 69- 2-6lb. I doubt it would have the guts needed in heavy timber.

Couldn't agree more, so balanced and just plain awesome!

I've been considering a GVTS-63UL-S graphiteleader for similar duties as well as sooties and JP, but I think that designo would be even better. Same casting range, 13g rod difference, same blank material I'd say. I wonder what the difference is between them. Maybe just less butt diameter/balls on the GL? Wish I could compare the two in person!

How fast is the action on the designo?
