Where are you buying your new certates from for that price?
That's a lot of spendage

I've been pretty good lately.. Settling for price/performance gear, and getting more fishing/photography in

Jigging Master Power Spell 150 - $380 from 520
Saragosa 8000 - $180 from 280
Black Magic Supple 60lb - $20
Black Magic Fluro 40, 60 and 80lb - $60
1km Downriggershop PE3 line - $100
5 Various metal jigs @ ~$18 ea

I'm focusing my finances now on: living comfortably , a car and some proper fishing trips (NZ kings, thinking of WA samsons in Nov.)

Focus on finance... everyone says that. Then the addiction comes back around and kicks you in the balls

Some more crazy shopping over the last week or so:

Shimano Stella 18000sw $1000
Carpenter DJ83MH $1200
800 metres Varivas Avani GT MAX PE8 $360
3 x spools Jig Master shock leader $120
Jigmaster power bar handle $90
MC Works power handle $200
Assorted GT poppers and stickbaits $1100
Assorted knife jigs $400

The only sport I have ever found that cost me more money than bream fishing is GT/Dogtooth fishing! If I could kick my tackle addiction I would be a millionaire!

I am going to Indonesia for 12 days in April. My second trip hopefully of many as I have just finished building a villa in Bali so I am preparing for at least two trips there a year with occasional NZ king trips and Nomad charters up North. I went there at Christmas but could only manage some big AJ's and small tune deep jigging with 500g-750g jigs in 120m+ of water, a good workout in anyones books!

I have never fished for kingfish to date but they are on my to do list in the very near future!

That's tough work mate. I was pwnd for half a week after jigging for two hours in 80m, only 250gm jigs too.
A lot harder to jig than to fight to actual fish, especially with parabolic rods.

I'll pm you with deets for NZ topwater kings, something I wanna do one day, and also some info on the charter I should be out with come October over in NZ

Good to see more people coming to the dark side... I'm still new to it but am loving it.

Dave
