metaloids

Hi there,
I bought the smallest "metaloid" and brought it home and when i was spooling it up the line got stuck between the bail roller!!!
It was cheap 6lb mono so i would hate to see what 4lb fireline would do. also the chrome finnish was coming of the graphite body of the reel. so i took it back and bought a small spinfisher instead.
A mate has the epix 20 and has no problems and it looks like a great reel.
cheers, steve.

I must admit, I'm looking forward to the Inspira coming out. Although, I do very well on the cheaper offering of the AV30 ($70) and the FA30 ($50).

Both have caught their fair share of good bream.

I'm pretty sure I saw Rod Harrison saying the Okuma Metalloid was "a good thing" in one of his colums or articles in Fishing World. I think it was a 2002 issue.

Where do you get the FA30 for $50?
Local DohDohDohDohDoh was selling them for $89.95 and the cheapest I've seen them in Brisbane is for $79.95
I'd buy it for $50

Here is some bizzare news on the Okuma Metalloid, apparently only one shop per state will be selling them. In Victoria it is apparently going to be JV Marine in Melb.

The one reviewed on the USA tackletour site is rear drag I think, the ones we are supposed to be getting are front drag.
