the sols have always been Daiwa's most durable reels, hopefully they can keep that reputation!

The sol has always been an "everyone" reel, so was the Luvias. I can't see it being any different.

I know everyone is super keen on 2004's/2508's etc. but i for one am a bit disappointed in the lack of 2500. Definitely prefer the full depth spool when chasing things larger than bream. For a reel that is an "everyone" reel you'd think they would've included at least a 2500.

That takes away the appeal of getting say an Exist or Certate.
Just saying, not that I've used any Magseal before.
Still looking for a real to match my Black Label.
Was looking at a pre-2012 Exist 3012. Now the Luvias has my attention too for about half the price I'm guessing.

Not really a lot of people buy the expensive great for the stigma of owning it and being better than other people I'm often guilty of this, I could easy use a sol or Caldia rather than my certate but I love it and makes me feel a bit special haha. Also there is a noticeable difference between the freams, Caldia, certate. The bigger the price the better build and quality and the certate feels as solid as houses.

I agree HATCH let's hope new Sols are just as good as the now old ones. It would be just like daiwa to discontinue something that people like, and is a quality product. eg original monster mesh rods they were great

Wondering if the new sol will come with a line roller bearing or a plastic bushing. I sure hope it's a bearing.
