I'd be disappointed if that wasn't the case.

Looks very underwhelming and cheap, stradic fk looks far better. Hopefully its internals make up for it.

i like the knob looks like the new exist drag knob.

But the rest just looks budget.

In saying that most people myself included consider the steez ex to look terrible and cheap in photos, but in the hand its easily one of the best looking reels ive seen.

Maybe the new luvias will be the same ?

a new Catalina BJ overhead released aswell wish it were a new Spin catalina.

Oh and looks like Daiwa aus is going to try sell excess isla models on the aus market, maybe clearing out global stock to make way for impending new model ? Should be interesting if they try and make out like the isla is a different reel.

I literally just saw the Isla on the daiwa site an hour ago and had the exact same thought.

Found the specs on google

Looks like the same line up as 2012 Luvi. Weight very slightly reduced and 1 more bearing (don't know where).

i reccon it looks nice
added another bearing
And dropped weight of all except the 1003
i dont realy care about the different rotor design
just because its different other 'air' rotor designs doesnt mean its any worse

The problem is they didn't change it they basically kept the old one when it would have been nicer to see them use the same rotor which we see on the certates. It doesn't make a major difference but the tates is more refined and easier to clean under when wiping the reel down.

still not a fan of the look. Looks like a cheap 2012 exist.
