Did we lose a lot of post after May 17th? What happened to the picture of the Stella line roller bearing that I posted? I know this is a twinpower thread but the parts and assembly of the two reels are very related.

The line roller may be called simply that however it would not be like Shimano to not tell everyone there is a bearing in the line roller.

There is a bearing in the roller.

1. if you look at the schematic for the stella fi,, from the Japan website, it does not show a bearing in it either.

Any reports on how these reels are going?

I am in the market for a new reel for my new nitro vapor.

I have both the Twin Power SW and normal - fantastic reels for the price with top quality compnents, smooth and robust.

Hi beans07
I wrote the original review on the 2015 Twinpower and despite some original misgivings we are now quite happy with our purchases of them. They have proven reliable and robust over the relatively short period of time we have had them (about 6 months or so since their release in Japan). Both my wife and I are still a little unsure of some of the new technologies and design features but time will tell I guess; no real complaints so far. Suspect in my eyes is the water repellent coating at the line roller and clutch housing with instructions not to spray the reel with any lubricant type oils for protection of the reel and that the reel should be returned to Shimano for service. The line roller it's self is of a new design I have not seen before and appears to be functioning well at present but I am unsure of it's durability at this point.
We went with the 3000HG and placed on 2 6KG Dobyns rods which are a perfect match running a quality 15LB braid. We use this outfit for light offshore Snapper plastic fishing as well as heavy estuary work. Our best to date with this reel is an 82cm Snapper.
