New Shimano Twinpower & Twinpower SW coming in 2015

Apparently the new Twinpower and Twinpower SW are coming out next year.

http://tacklenews.net/shimano-15twinpower.html

Featuring some of the new designs on '14 Stella, such as MM gears, waterproof core protection, etc.

I hope they won't look at they need butt inserts.

No. It was a piece of new about the announcement of the new Twinpower and Twinpower SW in 2015 by Shimano Japan. I think we will have to wait for a while to actually see them.

My 09 twinpower c2000s was one I regrete selling.
It was absolutely the smoothest reel I'd ever had.

With the latest gimmick/tech (micro module + water tightness), i think i'm going to be tempted

Hopefully they don't screw it up as bad as they did the new Stella. Shimano dropped the ball with that one

There not a bad reel but they definatley are not better than there predecessor the 08 Stella. At least all the parts were made in japan unlike the new model

very excited for this to happen!

I highly doubt the prices of the Twinpower SW and 11 will come down though. They never seem to when a new model comes out. Maybe $50 - $100 but will hardly seem noticeable once the dollar drops under the 80c.

would hardly say the new Stella isn't a step forward from the 08. Really, what more can they do with where fishing is at at the moment?

Its all good and well saying all the older ones/parts are made and assembled in Japan but it seems everyone wants their cake and eat it. To make an existing product new and better is by no means an easy accomplishment and requires a huge outlay of cash and resources even before the design. With an economy trying to move forward with a rapid growth population money has to be saved somewhere to make a Stella accessible to the majority of the public in a world bordering on recession.

So, if Shimano had have had a few new concepts on the Stella, all made and assembled in Japan, bit of titanium hear an there would anyone be willing to pay $1800 for a 10,000 size Stella?? Because that's the truth of it.

I doubt most people would even bother wondering where actual important this like their car, house, food, cloths, etc where made, let a lone a reel which they'd probably never buy anyway.

Have they dropped the ball?? Not even close. Not everyone can afford a Maserati or Ferrari. But Shimano have made their Ferrari still affordable for most as prices continue to rise on every bit of material that goes into the Stella.

Anyway, I wonder if the new TP will be based off the 08 Stella body like Japan have done with many a reels in the past? i.e. Stella - Soare 30, Exsence, Fireblood, earlier freshwater TP's.
