I found an almost new condition, albeit second hand Idaten for around $350 in a Tackleberry store in Tokyo. I am still kicking myself that I didn't buy it (I'd already bought a 2500HGS Stella and was saving my budget for an Exist Native Custom that I couldn't damn well find after visiting Tackleberry stores in every major Japanese city I passed through).

Yeah I look on tackleberry online every now and then. There are some bargains to be had if you can find a decent proxy buyer.

After looking at this thread since it started a few weeks ago and then breaking my samaki zing yesterday, I've decided to spoil myself and replace it with something special.

Looking for suggestions from you guys on which Megabass might be the go.

Plan on chasing everything from Bass, Flathead, light Snapper (up to 40cm) and jewfish in Lake Macquarie. I like to throw 5" & 7" plastics on anything from 1/4 to 3/4oz jig heads. I mainly use 3/8 to 5/8.
A 2000 - 2500 size reel with 6 - 10lb braid. I like something around the 7ft range.
Have had a bit of a look but can't decide.
Any suggestions on the best place/price on these would be great also

The RC sightfisher is pretty ballsy. Overkill for small snapper and jewies IMO. You might want to look at a destroyer beast hunts.
