If not lined up correct the first half of the thread breaks off, once removed nice and quiet and the missing half of thread won't be an issue with strength of the assembly.
Yeah when I took it apart - I noticed their was a missing washer that was supposed to butt up against the head of the screw - so who ever put it together may have had an off day.

I gave the reel a test run last night and the noise has stopped.

(for some reason google isnt working at the moment, so I cant find the schematics -I'll post them up later to show the missing part 26)

There are no schematics for the new BG - that schematic your looking at is the old BG.

Ahh Sweet - I was wondering why it took so long to find any schematics for it. I just figured Daiwa had churned out some more sh1t "Mud Maps" to make it harder for you to service it yourself

Tell me about that - lets do an evaluation...

Top schematic of both major parties...

Early(ish) models vs current(ish)

Normal view vs blown up - the Daiwa schematics were a little harder to find similar to similar reels from a 30 year age period between.

I rest my case... All I want is to be able to see what I am needing to order... There are worse schematics in my files - these are just for s*its and giggles.

Yeah I bet when the final draft of the schematics came in for approval they had amazing detail.

Then the Daiwa Big Wigs were like - "they're great but I'm going to need you to make them 50% blurrier or the average bloke might be able to use them to fix his reel"

Jesus being conservative there with the 50% ha ha...

Honestly with todays tech... I mean when I had to get A0 schematics printed up for substations, I had to ensure that there were no 'issues' with print so that the plebs on site could smudge them with greasy hands and scrunch them up and be thrown into a trench - and go about boxing and pouring slabs their own way...

Readily available schematics should at must be legible - how professional really depends on your online credibility stacks as well.

If it makes you feel any better - I did actually notice the porblem before you posted - but Breammaster doesn't let you edit the name of a thread once its posted.

So I had 2 choices

Delete the thread and re-post - or leave it there and suffer eternal humiliation.

The humiliation just seemed easier at the time

I read the title and the first that pops to my mind is "you know what the main porblem is? The main porblem here is that we're expecting a sub-$200 reel to perform and feel like an Exist Branzino."

BTW, as for the spelling, well, don't know if many here know this bit many chinese speaking (chinese as first language) people have problems (or porblems) pronouncing "r" in words and the pronounce the word "problem" as "porblem". Lawrence (YD), however, isn't one of them (I don't think) but maybe he's having a dig at one....

I may have mildly overstated any genuine feelings of pain and anguish over this mistake

I always thought you were French

And I wasnt trying to write a racist enigma code that could only be broken by a Chinese ESL student.

I just typed the "O" before the "R" and was too lazy to fix it
