Big Cash & Prizes up for grabs in the National Bream Classic 2006.

Sportsfish Tournament Circuit would like to announce the launch of the inaugural National Bream Classic 2006, a teams based event where everyday anglers can vie for big dollars in cash and prizes.

The NBC comprises three qualification rounds held over 2 days each with 90% of competitors entry fees returned in cash and prizes for each round.

• Round one will be conducted on Sydney Harbor during February 2006,
• Round 2 in Paynesville, Victoria in April 2006
• Round 3 held on the Gold Coast in June 2006.
• The NBC Grand Final held on Sydney Harbour in August 2006

Anglers can fish one or all three qualifying rounds to qualify for cash and prizes.

The top twenty teams qualify for entry into the NBC Grand Final to be held in August 2006 on Sydney Harbour.

The NBC Grand Final offers a staggering $100,000 worth of prizes to the winning teams.

Australia’s No.1 fishing and outdoors TV show “Escape with ET” will film all three qualifying rounds and the NBC 2006 Grand Final.

The first STC National Bream Classic was held at Sydney over the weekend of the 4th and 5th of this month.

The weekend was a great success for both anglers and organisers, with nearly 150kg of bream weighed over the 2 days, and only 28grams between 1st and 2nd!!

The Biggest Bream was caught by Team Skeeter and topped the scales at 1.674 kgs.

A total of 255 fish were returned for weighing over the two day event for a combined total weight of 148.44kgs!
