For about 5-10 seconds, but weight and slowish moving, not erratic like a bream, or the luderick i did catch. Im thinking perch? Had the same thing 3 times including me once hooked, deliberatly striking and still been connected, then basically spitting the hook/having it pull.
Very frustrating.

The cranka crab comes out tomorrow
Sounds a lot like a wrasse or parrot fish

yeah but the luderick arn't in a place where luderick are found haha. I would also be surprised if they were parrot fish or wrasse.

I reckon you could be jagging fish still and theyre just popping off without realising they were hooked. Weight and slugging movement could be a foul hooked big sea mullet or something before it launches off.

Have you tried running a small stinger hook on the back of your plastics? Might undo a few more luderick.

so yesterday it happened...the thing that all LB fisho's dread...

falling in.

High tide, couldn't fish where i wanted to but tried to. Stood on one rock, then put foot on another...then that rock moved.

Grazed shin (big bruise today) wet clothes and shoes (thankfully i live close to work). Luckily my phone didnt end up wet (its only a week old). Bit sore in my shoulder today, but didnt break anything...just my pride.
