Hobie Fishing Worlds Qualifier. Mallacoota!

March 14 and 15, will see the Hobie® event trailer roll in to Mallacoota for round 3 of the Hobie® Kayak Bream Series presented by Daiwa. A Hobie Fishing Worlds Qualifier, anglers will be competing for both a spot in the Australian Championship and a much coveted place, representing Australia, in the 2015 Hobie Fishing World Championship to be held later this year.

Bream are arguably Mallacoota’s most sought after species and the inlet harbours both yellowfin and black bream, with both species growing big in this wonderfully fertile system. Reports are that the system is fishing very well and there will be some very heavy bags come day two of the tournament.

With just over two weeks left to register you don't want to miss your chance at a spot at the 2015 Hobie Fishing Worlds! With 44 Anglers signed up and raring to go, it's going to be and absolutely massive round!

My first yak comp ever

Is there a training program that I can join to bring my fitness to an acceptable level?

Do they offer a head start for people over 50 years of age?

Regardless, looking forward to fishing Coota this time of the year

Cheers

Quick query, is there a minimum size livewell tank required? I didn't spot anything about this in the rules.

Second, and if the answer to the above is yes, is there any rental yaks available from the tournament organisers?

Not sure, I think as long as you can keep them alive it doesn't really matter on the size. Rentals, I don't think so.

Livewells smaller than 23ltrs in capacity will result in disqualification.
