Went out for a flick over the weekend.. decided to try for some Breambos.
weather was a fine 12 degrees and a gentle wind to keep me company..
I tied on a Atomic HB in a colour ive never used before and started to try a few retrieves
The Night was a quiet one, water rats were foraging for their meal, close by there were some water birds carefully stalking baitfish with deadly accuracy. the next few minutes went past very pleasantly until the a very familiar nudge was transmitted through the HVF graphite of the gen black itchy twitchy...
i wait then twitch twitch...........................................p ause.............................. BANG... the pleasant night is now filled with the very different sound... That be The sound of drag being taken from the Beautiful sounding Luvias...

this happened another 3 times with me managing to land 4 nice fish and drop one by striking too early ..

cheers

Nice collection of bream there Steve. How's the mat working out - roll up nice and small? Mines a bit bulky for my liking so I might take the dremel to the plastic end thingy-majig.

Never chased them in the dark but you always seem to have good success - going to have to brave the Melbourne winter and give it a shot myself when the daylight starts running out on us

Congrats - you're getting pretty consistent on pulling decent bream

Haha - I wish it was everyday

I'd gladly trade pre-work for a weekend or evening fish but it doesn't fit in with the toddlers schedule Give it five years and I should have a well trained fishing partner

Other hope is I win lotto and become independently wealthy so the whole concept of "before work" disappears. That would be nice
