Lowrance help

Ok as some of you guys know i am a Lowrance pro team angler and have used Lowrance products for over 25 years. I also come from a technical background. So i got to thinking that there would be a lot of people out there that could do with some advice, tips, New products and help in setting up and problems with lowrance products. If i can't help straight away i can find out and get back ASAP. So lets get this started.

New Products
Sonic Hub

Sonic Hub
This is a nifty marine audio server that hooks up to your
Lowrance HDS or Simrad NSE unit and allows you to play an iPod, iPhone
or MP3 music files on an USB stick, AM/FM radio and control everything
via your HDS. So you can choose the songs you want to hear, change the
volume control etc all through the HDS display. The unit is a black
box that you can store underneath the dash, then there's the hub which
can either be mounted on your dash where the iPod sits and also comes
with 2 x Speakers. It all hooks up to the HDS unit via NMEA 2000. More
information can be found here: http://www.lowrance.com/en/SonicHub/

I had a good look and play with this at the Australian Release at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and it was impressive.
when it comes out around September it will be priced at $599 retail
The good thing is it will work on the HDS 5 and up.

Tip1
For those that have a HDS unit
Some of you may not know how to take a screenshot of your HDS screen.
It's pretty easy once you know how:

1. Select 'Screen Capture' from the System menu and press enter.

2. Press the LIGHT/Power key to capture the current screen. Repeat
this step to take additional screen captures.

Then, to save screen captures a SD card:

1. Select Files from the Utilities list on the Pages menu. Press
Enter.

2. Highlight My Files and press the keypad to the right. Select
screenshots and press the keypad to the right.

3. Select the desired screenshot. Press menu. The screenshot menu
will appear.

4. Select Copy and press enter. The Copy File menu will appear.

5. Your SD card will be listed on the screen. Select your SD card
and press enter. You will be taken back to the list of screenshots.
Repeat Steps 3-5 to copy more screenshots.

Here is the latest update for HDS

Hi Stephen

Alright - before I can take anything you say seriously

What are the fish pictured below
Approximately how long are they
Are they actively feeding
How fast were we traveling when the snap shot was taken
What is the big hump to the left of frame
Whats all that Green Yellow and Red stuff at the top of screen
and why is there green stuff in the depressions at the bottom of the screen.

These could be trick questions that I already know the answer to - but there is a very good chance I have no Idea

Nice work yellow door
that is a good screen shot i could only guess what fish they are
but i do like benders comment
well this is a bream site isnt it??
the fish at the bottom look different to the bigger fish in midwater. thats my guess. I will say that if you were looking at this screen shot in down scan that large hump on the left would show up in detail and you could probably tell exactly what it is ( could be a tree, could be the side of a bridge pylon).
I do know it is in VIC ......brrr look at that temp 11.9.
Now i know what that hump is ...its a doona and the fish are trying to get warm...lol
Walloper nice screen shot as well WAL now there wont be too many people that can claim there sounder can sound out there name ...i like it

The one on the far right is "Bruce". The rest were too rude to introduce themselves
