Pretty much what Stella Fella said. I'll add the Caiyen is very good. On par with the old Exist IMO.

The Gaus looks like it's based of a New Caldia and judging by the price to. They are good reels and if that's what it is with a RC spool and handle in a 2000 size I will happily buy 3! Looks awesome...

Ah gotcha...sometimes I wished MB were based off ALL reels. Image an MB cq50? Or a Stella!

I'm still considering an awesome spin setup.

I imagine daiwa would keel over. Yuki Ito is on daiwa's design team, in exchange he has access to their reel tech to build mb reels.

New Kirisame

Average photo - Doesn't quite do justice to the finish of the new Kirisame. Very impressive - First impression is that it has fixed the two things that didn't quite do it for me on the original model i.e. the reel seat and the guides - but I realise thats a personal choise thing!
Anyway it looks f..n good in the kitchen - now I just have to see how well it goes in the wild. (w/end looking good - inlet open = score)
Cheers P

Yeh... the angle of the photo distorts it a bit - but having said that there is a bit of material at the base for a rod that MB rate as 4g and 3-6lb line. Tip is like horse hair though - action quite fast.
Not sure of the O/A weight but deffo feels a bit lighter in the hand than the earlier model.
This would have to be one of the nicest finished rods I've seen from MB or anyone else for that matter. Cheers P

Thanks man, Am I the only one constantly bamboozled when trying to work out if a rod is one or two piece???

I mean how did you find that info? I checked MB here, in the US and Japan. The only way I could get an inkling was that those two rods would ship with EMS from Japan which is a less that exact science.

I think megabass just expect you to know lol. The only rod I know of that actually says it's a 2 piece is the orochi scramble tour. The old 2pc rods like the japde python and old kirisame had pictures of the spigot on the info page.

I think the new zks is a one-piece. The old one was two.
