Shauno is your boat a 485 Max Frenzy???.......
If you dont mind me asking mate how much did the whole lot set you back??? It's exactly the boat I'm getting - either that or a 515 Max Frenzy with a 115 E-TEC. Thanks Mate. |

Just spoke with Tim and whilst I thought I had bought a 470, he tells me any boat built in Victoria are actually 485, funnily enough when I checked the compliance/boat builder plate 485. Apparently just a name change to get past the vicco lifejacket laws... Standard track rail bottom..
from the factory minus from bow rails-to clean the look of the boat minus seat socket from the front deck to clean the deck a little add 100l Tournamnet live well replace frenzy console with sports side console from ETT. remove rear portside seat socket, allowing for placement of esky. full port side side pocket short starboard side pocket Anchor well, bowsprite and welded bollard. add electric motor mount no stickers for the wrap that is in its design stage. up the HP rating to 90 instead of 75hp Dunbier rollmatic trailer What I have installed minnkota riptide 55lb electric twin deep cycle 120 amp batteries in boxs marine hybrid start battery in box triple Isolater switch with VSR fuel water sperator epirb fire estinquisher flush mounted Fusion marine stereo with 4 speakers flush mounted uniden 27meg marine radio with folding antenna humminbird 798si combo 2 standard Etec guages plus 2 extra guages and hour meter. Rapala rod holders on the front of the console stainless grab rail for passenger twin tackle lockers holding two plano boxes of lures in each minn kota 20amp onboard charging system Flush mount stainless steel nav lights flush mounted pop up cleats Narva 55w flood lights mounted under the bow sprit (darwin style) two backlight switch panels (one including a power socket to run a lightforce handheld spotty and my engal onaboard 8L warmer and cooler. 4 rail mount rod holders removeable bait board and rod holders to mount it full under gunwhale LED lights in the boat, plus the livewell and on the transom for night time squiding and party time... Anchor and chain berkley live well net mounted under the livewell lid. various clips to mount lip grips, gaffs, lure retriever pole and landing net. I think I've got it all... Dont ask a marine dealer to do all of that for you, it took two of us 50 hours plus to do.... took us nearly 3 weeks all up working on it when we could after work and on weekends... an idea of some of the LED lights...
The transom ones are wild they illuminate a fair area out the back of the boat attracting bait and squid... I'll try and get some pics of that.... |

Hp per Kg in weight is superior to anything on the market...
Maintenance free for 3 years Sounds wild at full noise... When I test drove a Yamaha 4 stroke it was just too laggy... The E-tec has been wild... no complaints at all... so far i've clocked 30 hassel free hours all on one tank of oil.... Sweet as... whats your preference BB? |

Dunno looking at a 5m Quinny with the 90hp Yam four stroke, so when the warranty runs out, out come the restrictors..

Wow that looks Sick!!! signage looks great, I notice they recently sold a 5.6mtr Frenzy from pacific marine with similar sinage on it, brighter colours though. Read the fine print on the e-tec when in saltwater you have to service it every 12 months - ripper engine though. I'll be posting up pictures of my one shortly!!
I'd love to see the completed job.... |

as it shows in the maintenance schedule you simply need to lubricate a few key areas... |

I have been told by heaps of people you when using the E-TEC in saltwater it needs to be serviced annually freshwater use it can be done every three years. I just sold my mako with a 60 E-TEC I bought new and I never serviced it for two years and it went fine. Oh..... except the f$@&*g gearbox s&%t itself with 1 hour on the motor (the first time I took it for a run!!). I blame that more on the selling dealer than the manufacturer themselves...... It was a great engine though - I gunna try the Optimax this time for a change the general consensis seems to be that they are a really good motor as well.
