Shimano Nasci 2500

Looking at one of these for a Christmas present as the budget is around $100. Can anyone give me any feedback on what they are like? Any feedback will be much appreciated. Regards HBt.

The Nasci and Sahara are the same reel,i currently have a 4000 Sahara.
Few weeks back i bought a 3000 size Nasci,it spooled up badly.
I added a washer and the braid went on better but not as good as the Sahara so i added a second washer to the spool and it came out bad,so i tried building up the braid in the center of the spool so that the end result would be a even line lay on the spool.
I tried 3 different times and i still didn't get a line lay like the Sahara which was near perfect.I took the 3000 Nasci back for a refund,so not sure if the 2500 will have the same problem.

Good review by Alan Hawk

I've bought a 5000 to give as a gift. Feels very nice for the price.

Not used one but felt good enough in the store. If you want to know where to get one posted for $84 (reliable store on the sunshine coast) send me a PM. Don't think I can just put a link up.

Think I'll be trying one out on my daughters combo. A 1000 should do the trick.
