The surf coast has some truly amazing systems and all within easy proximity.

Im back to live next month and just can't wait to hit my old haunts!!!

plenty of spots that only me and a few others fish. its amazing how underated all the systems i fish are, there just left to the tourists with a pack of frozen prawns and 10kg snapper rods. plenty of 40cm+ fish in all the systems that love smacking lures.

stumbled across this again so ill give it a quick update. most of these fish were over winter hence most fish taken on the turtlebacks

so u managed a few out of the spilway too had a fish in the spill way part in that pool just under the concrete bit my mate got a follow but no hookup

Yeah I fished that spill way the first ever time I went there. Managed a good chunky brown, dropped another and caught a few hundred billion reddies. My mate got a half decent rainbow about 37cm too.

Love the avatar pic,great looking fish.In fact quite a few of the fish down there have a real aggressive look about them.

Some cracker blue nose bream there. Love fishing the surf coast, looks like you have the area sussed! think I may have bumped into you before fishing spring creek before!

Good chane of it mate, I'm down there a fair bit. I think I did meet you down there once and you got a mid 30's fish on a gulp shrimp.
