Cool Clyde River Pre-Fish Results....

Hi all,
Just got back from the Clyde - what an awesome waterway
Yesterday was spent looking, this morning was spent fishing - ended up with a 3.3kg bag of 5 fish in 3 hours, not too shabby

There's plenty of huge Bream in there, just ask my busted spool of 14lb Fireline

Best weapon of choice for me was the ever reliable Bream Master "Stealth" pattern Attack, but I had to upgrade the trebles to Gamakatsu 12's, I kept getting the normal ones straightened

It was a bit of a run up to the productive areas, and I spent most of my time hitting snags and rock walls up past Nelligen - well worth the motor up

Bring on the comp in 2 weeks - I can't wait

Sorry about the lack of pics - I left the camera at home

Cheers,

Dave its a gorgeuous waterway, did you make it up as far as Shallow Crossing (the concrete causeway) if so what was the water condition up there with the drought?

Unhappy

Unlike Dave W, my Clyde River Pre-Fish was a real blow to my confidence. I thought I had this game worked out - wrong !!!

Fished Saturday and Sunday mornings concentrating on the racks with plastics (having been told that not much happening up river and that the fish were shy of hard bodies). Maybe I was given a bum steer to throw me off the trail. Or maybe it's just me. Probably the latter !

Only 1 keeper (just) over the 2 mornings, and at this stage I will be relieved with that during the comp (I fear being fishless).

Will I make the trip in 2 weeks ?? Of course I will - I might learn something off you guys !

Horny.
