I’ve had these for about a year and I can’t fault them. They cut 4lb hanging braid cleanly and don’t rust.

I have both and found the owner to cut limp braid better than the snowpeaks. for cheap scissors you cant go past the surecatch ones https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SURECATC...8AAOSwef9a4pAP Geez they used to be 5 bucks.

Thanks for all the suggestion fellas - might have to do an official breammaster poll once all of the brands get mentioned. If anyone else has some contenders - give them a mention Last edited by yellow door 1; 14-05-2018 at 03:49 AM. |

After seeing your vid I ordered the Berkleys as they are now cheaper than the Surecatch version and look to be just as effective. Also ordered the following for comparison. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Daiwa-DB...EAAOSwR4FZgBuj I also placed an order fro the Abel and then realised I am but a mere mortal without a super human salary and quickly rescinded.

Great information here
My recommendation on braid scissors would be Dr Slick brad scissors. We have been using them for years and have not had to purchase a new set in over 5 years. Forget how much they cost but not much more than the cheapies but value in the long run

Very nice.
Maybe if I washed the chicken thigh off my scissors after livie fishing, mine might last that long aswell. |

Ceramic
Worst decision I ever made was to spend $30 on ceramic braid scissors, what a crock
In fact, BFL if I can find them I will post to you for your in-depth comparison. The only redeeming feature is the kindy-kids rounded nose to save save your pockets...
