Consider yourself really lucky if you still gets to choose when to go fishing. For the majority of us the best time to fish is usually that couple hrs when both work and missus are happy to let us have a bit of fun. Just put in the time and you will find that any time of day, any tide and any moo phase you usually find fish somewhere

haha .. so true.

My advice is to go fish whenever you are able to and when you do catch fish, take note of which part of the tide it was, the temperature, the time of day (dawn, dusk, arvo), calm or windy, sunny or cloudy or storm brewing etc.

This way, you'll work out what tides are best for certain areas that you fish and what types of fish you pull out at those times and places.
