The only thing really left to mod is the handle & knob.

Maybe you could go for a full new re-paint. I recently had a full color respray of one of my old worn out daiwa E-Gee's done by Custom Tackle Graphics. And will soon have my branzino' back from being painted with a python skin color pattern to match my megabass jade python. As for other parts i found the branzino is hard to find optional spools for, but the usual Z.P.I, bassart, Dress and a few others do handles for them as they a pretty universal.

Yeah I saw the Bassart one but I think $600+ is a bit insane for a 2508 spool with a handle but anyway... How much did the repaint cost I have never thought about that!? I'm happy with the spool just more the handle. Can you post a pic when you get your Morethan back?

The respray for the e-gee was i think $110 but the respray for my branzino is gonna be $150 max, it is quite a complex paint scheme. Don't quote me on this but i seem to remember that 'nature boys' may do a interchangeable spool system now for these reels, if not i sure they won't be far away. There spool systems are a pretty big thing at the moment in japan. Yeah any part of reel upgrades isn't cheap$$$$$$$$

The 30mm ultimate jigging handle on eBay in black and gold look really good on them!

2nd that, pointless on such a nice reel. IMHO wouldn't look as good as black.

I wouldn't paint it

If it is one of the ones I have seen of late with a few chips on them
Then have it painted but just what needs it and the same colour.
