I have used the decoy round snaps a lot and have had them unclip themselves. Can't say in what situation but it has me nervous enough to stop using them. I am also searching for a better type. Looks like a few more options in this thread.

I've had the lure come off twice while using these, don't ask me how just casting like I would normally do and off into the horizon they went. I've been using the spiral clips either Decoy or Mustad for a couple of years now with no issues.
