I have used many snaps and in my personal with number 1 being the best and would try to use them all the time. But you usually need two types of clips and some clips are hard ot put onto certain tow points, especially if embedded into the bib.

1) Pontoon 21 ET Snaps. These are just so strong and crazy easy to use (quick)

2) Yamashita Egi snap. My favourite for when needing a clip for recessed tow points and great on blades to reach the lil metal holes etc.

3) Decoy Spiral snap - One I use regularly but can be hard to use especially if tow point recessed.

4) Decoy W snap. Crazy strong but even though its thin can be hard to use and unclip etc. due to strength and small size.

5) Breaden Snap - excellent snap but needs to be used on a larger lures, or where tow point are clearly exposed. ( still works well on Micro vibes)

No matter what, i have never had these fail during use. Over time the ones where you need to unclip an arm can fatigue ( usually the Decoy types) so i prefer the twist on type. But the metal used in the Yamashita clip is crazy strong and doesnt seem to fatigue even when pulled out of position.

Wink

Nah mate never had a problem. They're a finer gauge wire than the Snowbee No-knot which are similar and the loop on these is rounder which i prefer. I have the three sizes, smallest is pretty tiny so i mainly use the middle size but the larger are fine and really good for blades.

Never had them open up and never lost a lure. I used the same clip all day in tassia with the clip getting a good test especially with the last fish of the day!

Due to the clips being so cheap why not buy 2 or 3 brands or sizes and use them to find out what suites your needs for the day
