Bluefin Wildcat

Does anybody own one/fished from one? Just looking for some feedback from anybody who fishes from one, especially bay/light offshore work

Cheers,

Daniel

I have fished in a 4.35 model, nice boats! Very stable and could handle light offshore easily.

I have a 4.2 Blue fin and it's a great hull. The only problem I have is the paint. All the white inside the boat is pealing. I don't think it was ech primed but the color is good.

I have a 4.35 side console, great boat. It would easily handle light inshore or bay fishing, paired with a 60 4 stroke its quiet, economical and reasonably quick. Plenty of storage and the inbuilt livewell is more than adequate.

Thanks for the feedback. As much as I would love a bigger boat I need something that I can launch/retrieve on my own but still be able to chase tuna around the bay and so on.

Has anyone fished offshore in one? Obviously have to pick your day in a small boat but what are they like? I'm not talking about heading for the shelf or anything but sneaking out off tweed or even to cape moreton on a good day

Hi mate went for a ride in one today was very impressed
with the finish though not as stable as i thought it would be.
Also went on the new plate 4.3 drifter tournament and
for my money it out performed the wildcat in stability and was much
of a dryer ride in the chop we were in.
Compared to alot of hulls ive been comparing bluefin are one
of the best finished ive seen though one of the most over priced also.
If your looking at one keep intouch with pricing
i would be interested in comparing price as im looking at one also
but half the time im feeling im being riped off by the dealers.

I cant believe how much dealers charge for the cast decks
in boats these days and they use the most cheapest untreated
timber on the market...so a year or so later its all buckled from being
weathered.....i bet they dont tell you that in any boating reviews lol.

Hey Dan, don't be too stressed over size for launch/retrieve, you can set up the trailer to be drive on/off with self aligning rollers/skids & a s/s pin on the winch post to lock in place. I did this with my boat and works well, also had a mate do the same with a 6mtr+ tub, he is often out fishing.
